Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of elastic band and swiss ball exercise in body composition and blood components on obese woman college students. Subjects of 36 females(over body fat 30%) elected in this study. All subjects divided 3 groups(elastic band training group: 9, swiss ball training group: 9, control group: 9). All subjects measured body composition variables(bodyweight, %fat, lean body mass), blood components variables (Total-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, Triglyceride) before and after a 8-weeks. Statistics analysis used to One-way Repeated ANOVA, and Post-hoc used to Scheffe. The result of this study were as follows; first, Body weight, %fat was significant interaction-effects(p<.05), second, TC, was significant measurement-period(p<.01). Third, Lean body mass, HDL-C, LDL-C, TG was not significant. On the basis of this study, these results indicate that elastic band & swiss ball exercise program is affirmative effects in weight, %body fat, TG, HDL-C in obese woman college students. However it is considered that more proper exercise intensity & time on program and dietary-life control required to be developed in order to be more effective in preventing and treating obesity.
